TRUSTEES NEEDED

LEADING OUR STRATEGIC DIRECTION
Home-Start trustees reviewing a leaflet.

The Board of Trustees at Home-Start High Peak is made up of volunteers from all walks of life who assume responsibility for leading our strategic direction.

The Trustees monitor performance, ensure compliance, manage the finances and premises, deal with staffing matters and direct promotion of the service.

These are most important functions requiring time and commitment. However, there is support for them all along the way. It starts with a thorough induction. Training courses and events are held regionally and nationally. There is an entirely open policy regarding operational information.

The kind of skills that are in demand include business management, financial acumen, information technology, communications and fund raising – but you don’t have to possess special qualifications.

Above all, what we need are people with an abundance of common sense, the ability to work within a team, an understanding of the pressures facing today’s parents and a genuine interest in supporting parents in the community.

If this sounds like you we would be delighted to hear from you …
