WHO WE ARE

ABOUT OUR ORGANISATION
A mother and her baby.

Home-Start High Peak has been supporting local families since 2004, growing successfully through the efforts of a team of committed volunteers under professional guidance. Over that time, our unique brand of non-judgemental emotional and practical support means we have been invited in to thousands of homes, have been trusted to provide advice and relied upon to provide confidential help when it’s needed.

Whether a family needs support because they are struggling to cope with a child’s disability or economic hardship; whether there’s been a relationship breakdown or postnatal illness; whether a parent is having problems dealing with a child’s behaviour and routines or a family is feeling isolated and unable to connect with their local community, we’ll be there. Now, next week, next year, for as long as it takes.

Local Support

Working through a group of carefully selected and trained parent volunteers, wide-ranging support is provided for families who are not coping as well as they would like.

National Network

All Home-Start regions are linked to Home-Start UK by a national agreement to which all schemes must comply. We help parents to build better lives for their children.
