OUR VOLUNTEERS

Home-Start High Peak’s home visiting volunteers come from many different backgrounds and vary in age. One thing they have in common is that all are either parents or have parental experience. Volunteers are of crucial importance: they are the life and soul of our party.

Every volunteer receives training, consisting of a course of preparation before being matched with a family.

Then, they take their individual skills and experience to the families that they visit. They are friendly and approachable. They can be relied on and trusted by parents, without being judgmental.

Volunteers can access further training and a range of social events throughout the year. A designated co-ordinator is on hand to advise whenever needed.
